Here is the plan for the on-line meetings. Each meeting will take place at 14:00 UTC on IRC, server irc.freenode.net, channel #glorylands
For some time zones this time is:
U.S.A./New York (UTC-4): 10:00 AM, Spain/Madrid (UTC+2): 4:00 PM,
Greece/Athens (UTC+3): 5:00 PM, Japan/Tokyo (UTC+9): 11:00 PM

Updates

I have been away too long and I apologize for the lack of updates. This year was way too stressful and I had no time to do any sort of coding.

So, what's the status? To be excact, the status of the new engine is somewhere between planning and alpha. My biggest problems are:

I bet you all have questions about the progress of the game since there are no updates on the site. Here is the thing:
 
I am currently very busy with personal work and I have very few to zero free time. That's why I haven't actually added anything useful on the code yet and there is no activity on the site.
 
I really appreciate the help some people offered. I really needed it, but unfortuately I think that without coordination you'll probably don't have a clue what to do or get lost in the code...

As the new year has come, i will be doing more work on the engine as before where i couldn't do much as of christmas and celebrations ect.. So expect more development being done :)

Updates

So what's going on those few weeks?

Some of you might have figured out that there are no updates on the actual game on the SVN. That's because the current game version is from now on considered depreciated and will be replaced by the new engine (G-Engine).

The new engine is located on /branches/gengine (on SVN) and I estimate a first beta by the beginning of the new year.

Development Progress

Hello everybody! It has been a while :)

I have finally some free time to spare, and I have started working on the development and organization of the project again.
Here are some general news about what's happening:

Just some information for the latest commit...

  • I have Simplified the Hooking System: Till now, all the information about the interrupt vectors were stored on SQL. Now, only the filenames are stored in SQL, and the hooks are defined in-line. This makes the code much simpler to read.[/*:m]
  • [b] Added a click-to-go movement system (special for beastherocom :P) - Test it and I'd really appreciate feedback and comments ;)[/*:m]
  • [b] Added a sprite/movement system with variant speed and any with support for any kind of sprite format.[/*:m]

Game task tracking

For the people who are interesting in helping, but also for the ones that want to know the project progress, I have enabled the TaskFreak! application on SourceForge, to help on the task tracking.
