I have the same problem, you see John has to study alot so he doesn't get much chanceto do anything, i have got some notes on the engine that he was explaining to me about if you have msn, post up or PM me ;)
I am limited in what i can do in PHP, i can do things, but not as great as John ahah!
Nice Wavesoft, i do think the idea of Village Ownership is nice, and yes a full visual administration/moderation panel should be intact, if you need help with this msn me - And also for the battle system, i was thinking a simple battle system should be in place (spells, attack maybe visually see your character attacking) and then when you have have finished Chaos milestone, go for an advanced version and then whcih players can pick between which one they should use.
And i still think the plugin system is good (Y) Keep up the good work John.

this engine is much better than the previous one, the walking system was horrible. But if we are going to use this new engine, we will need to do everything again, the npcs, the itens, etc. The problem is that u are without time John =/. I could spend about 5 hours per day in this engine, but the only thing that i know how to do are simple php codes.
The previous version (Not the G-Engine) had a battle attempt... however it was never completed. The new version has a battle system scheduled, it is easies to implement it than it was before, but it is not yet started.
Now that I have somewhat more free time, I'll plan an on-line meeting in order to discuss for the re-start of the development. Keep an eye on the site for an announcement ;)

To start off, thanks for the other post - I think many other people needed to know it, and also, documentations should be one of the first things after stable version/beta as more and more people will know (inc me) how to use and edit the engine, either basically so you can setup what you need for your own game (Like guides on how to install mods) and also more advanced like editing certain php code does what and so on...
I think it will help me and others too...
And i can help too, obviesly i am limited on what i can do but i can try :), Mike.

I see you had some educational holidays! I think you'll catch up with the development in no time. If you have a question and you can't find me on MSN, post it on the forum and I'll reply it when I have some time.
Lol thought you where busy, you wasn't on msn for a couple of days so i posted it lol, yeah i got the commenting done, took a Classes and OO course on the web and i need to show you some of it, i done it and made examples but i got stuck on constructors haha :p

As for me, the beginning of the new year will be a bit tough (exams, language diplomas etc.) but it will hopefully get easier later.
I haven't managed to do any work during the vacation, but I hope to do some work later...
I will do some bugfixes focusing on a stable engine. I will also create an engine guide..
Lol i know, i can't get my head around how amazing and well thought about it is.
It is being made like that so it is easier for new people to create their own games and edit them easily.
I just downloaded the tarball from the svn page on sourceforge, instead of using Tortoise (dial up speed), and it works perfectly!
I just have to paste something from it:
